8L90 Performance Raybestos Rebuild

Stock clutch capacity 

CDT 8L90 bench rebuild. You will need to ship your transmission to us for the rebuild.

Billet Input Shaft is precision machined from 300M alloy steel & heat treated for additional strength & durability. In order to reduce breaking points, this shaft has an increased radius between the sealing rings. Complete with sealing rings installed.

Raybestos Clutch Pack Module - Contains upgraded friction components as well as a unique blend of GPZ® High Energy fibers that are designed to withstand high stress, high temperatures and repeated cycling for dramatic improvement in transmission performance and durability. Includes (5) C3 clutches in the event that you have the larger clutch capacity drum. 

Raybestos Steel Pack Module - Steels are designed to deliver better shift performance and clutch durability, lower noise and shudder and longer clutch life after rebuild. Includes (5) C3 steels in the event that you have the larger clutch capacity drum.

Overhaul Kit

Hi-Per Blue® Piston for C1 (1-2-7-8-R). Manufactured with upgraded High-Performance Blue AEM material for superior thermal and chemical resistance with better fit and performance.

Delete Thermal Bypass Valve if equipped 

End Play set to CDT Specs

Options: 

  • Additional clutch added to C4 Clutch Pack (Increase from 5 to 6 OE thick clutches)
  • Upgrade C3 Clutch Drum Housing to add an additional clutch (Increase from 4 to 5 OE thick clutches)
  • Install revised Pump that includes webbing in order to minimize any flexing while increasing durability (normally applies only in pre-2018 transmissions)
  • Pump Stator and Cover can be upgraded to the 2-check-ball version - this addresses delayed engagements and falling out of gear issues
  • Upgraded C3 Clutch accumulator (added piston and o-ring for better sealing)
  • Upgraded Accumulators in bottom side of valve-body (this addresses the premature wearing issues)

GM Filter

*$3,645 does not include any Hard Part damage, Torque Converter or TCM/ECM tuning. After an internal inspection of your transmission, we will notify you of any hard part damage that will carry an additional cost.

Transmission Tuning We do not supply a TCM or ECM tune.

Flushing Cooler & Lines We cannot stress enough the importance of flushing the transmission cooler(s) and lines, even if they are new. We recommend using a Hot Flush Machine or something comparable.
