1) Why should I choose Circle D to repair my transmission?

You should choose us if you appreciate a straightforward, informative approach. We always give you an up front estimate and our past experience allows us to provide a normal drive out-the-door price range. 2) Why can't you just tell me how much its going to cost? Another facility gave me an exact cost.

All transmission problems are unique – you may have an issue outside of the transmission that affects its performance. Therefore, in order to accurately diagnose your vehicle we must be able to have it at our shop – otherwise, we are just guessing. The most expensive transmission repair is the one you did not need – we can diagnose your vehicle properly if given the opportunity.

3) What do you mean the estimate includes soft parts, but not hard parts?

Putting it very simply, soft parts are the items that we replace in every rebuild - they include things such as the clutches, rings, bushings, seals, gaskets and filter. Hard parts are items such as the transmission case, pumps, drums, chains, planetary gears and electrical components. Hard parts are replaced only if damage has occurred to that particular part.

4) What does it mean to retrieve trouble codes?

Late model computer controlled vehicles are equipped with an on-board control module. As the vehicle malfunctions a signal is sent to this module where it is stored in the memory as a trouble code. We are able to retrieve trouble codes by connecting our diagnostic equipment to the vehicle.
